A lot of flat earthers claim that the 2012 Blue Marble had been faked when in reality it was "of data obtained by the Visible/Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument on board the Suomi NPP satellite on January 4, 2012. The data was obtained from six orbits of the Earth by the Suomi NPP over an eight-hour period" per the following article.
The fact is, it is composed (composite) of elements from our true earth and flat earth has yet to produce one good composite image of their pancake land.

So, the rotational velocity at the equator is ~1000mph. Hard to beleive? I guess so but if you consider the circumference of the earth has been measured at 24901 miles, and a day is 24 hours, it sure adds up. It actually spins at 15 degrees per hour and if you multiply 15*24 you get 360 which describes a full rotation. If you consider 1 degree is 69 miles and you multiply 69*360 you arrive at approximately the stated circumference.
Also, rotation is usually measured in RPM/RPH but since flat earthers make this a big deal, we'll work in MPH today. Now you can tell a flerf how slow we are! We are actually one of the slower rotating planets.
