CGI is a common tool that arose in the mid 1980's and is used to create visual effects and simulations for many different purposes. The use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) in media and entertainment does not necessarily indicate a conspiracy or deception and is typically labeled as such when used in a scientific presentation. The premise that Apollo or Gemini imagery is computer generated is clearly false because the technology/computers did not exist. Furthermore, even with today's technology it would take 2.5 million engineers an additional 40 years to generate the same number of photos and the quality would be poor or just somewhat believable AND would just now be surfacing. Some photos are taken in such a way that they have to be digitally "wrapped" around a globe model but again, as is customary, the photos and videos would not make you guess. They are clearly tagged as such in the description. See some of the Himawari-8 time lapse videos. |
